Warehousing is where freight waits, and where a lot of supply chains quietly break. Run it well and your product is secure, easy to find, and ready to move; run it badly and you’re paying for space you can’t use, chasing damaged or missing stock, and adding days to every order. RS Group built its 80,000 sq ft Atlanta warehouse to be the first kind — a flexible, secure, climate-controlled facility that plugs straight into the freight network we already run.
That integration is the point. Our warehouse isn’t a standalone storage business; it’s the floor where our drayage, cross-docking, and container transloading all come together, with the same single point of contact owning your account. Store product, transload a container, cross-dock an inbound load, and ship it back out — all under one roof, coordinated by one operator.
Secure, reliable, flexible storage
Three things make warehousing worth paying for, and we built around all three. Security: the facility is monitored 24 hours a day, with controlled access and the protocols to keep your product safe and accounted for. Reliability: organized, well-managed space means stock is where the records say it is, ready to ship without a scramble. Flexibility: you scale the space you use up and down as demand moves, so you’re not locked into paying for a footprint you’ve outgrown or under-filled. The result is storage that adapts to your business instead of forcing your business to adapt to it.
Atlanta warehousing space
The facility is 80,000 square feet and climate-controlled, which matters for far more than comfort — temperature- and humidity-sensitive product (pharmaceuticals, electronics, certain foods and beverages) needs an environment that doesn’t swing with the seasons. The location is the other half of the value: we’re in the Fulton Industrial corridor on Atlanta’s west side, minutes from I-285 and the interstate network and close to Hartsfield-Jackson, one of the country’s busiest cargo airports. That puts your product near the lift and the lanes that move it, whether it’s going out by truck, rail, or air.
Our warehousing services
Different freight needs different handling. We accommodate a range of storage specializations:
- Healthcare and pharmaceutical — climate-controlled, secure storage for temperature-sensitive medical and pharmaceutical product, handled with the care a regulated supply chain demands.
- Cross-docking — fast inbound-to-outbound transfer for freight that’s already destined and doesn’t need to sit on a rack (see cross-docking).
- Electronics — secure, climate- and static-conscious storage for high-value, sensitive electronic goods.
- Packaging — staging and storage for packaging materials and finished, packed product, tied into our packaging consulting work.
- Industrial — storage and handling for industrial parts, equipment, and materials, including bulkier and heavier freight.
- Beverage — climate-appropriate storage for beverage product, with the handling and turnover a beverage supply chain runs on.
If your product doesn’t fit neatly into one of these, that’s a conversation worth having — the facility is flexible, and the honest answer about whether we’re the right fit is one we’ll give you up front.
Container transloading on site
Because the warehouse sits behind our drayage operation, it doubles as a transload floor. A container pulled off the port can be brought straight to the facility, unstuffed, and its freight reloaded onto domestic trailers — consolidated into fuller loads, cross-docked onto outbound trucks, or briefly staged. Doing the transload here, under one roof, means the steamship line’s container gets freed fast and the freight keeps moving inland without sitting idle accruing per-diem charges. (See container transloading for the full mode-change workflow.)
Coverage and the distance that matters
The right warehouse is partly about the building and partly about where it sits relative to your freight. Our Atlanta location gives reach across the Southeast and the national network — close to the interstate corridors, the rail ramps, and the air cargo capacity at Hartsfield-Jackson. For inbound importers, it’s a practical first inland stop off the port; for distributors, it’s a hub to feed regional delivery; for anyone shipping nationally, it’s a well-connected base. Knowing the distance from your warehouse to your customers — and to the carriers that serve them — is part of how we help you decide whether to store, cross-dock, or ship straight through.
Why ship and store with RS Group
What you’re really buying with warehousing is everything around the storage:
- Scalability — flex the space up and down with demand, without being trapped in a fixed footprint.
- Security — 24-hour monitoring and controlled access, so product is safe and accounted for.
- Flexibility — store, cross-dock, transload, or ship through, depending on what the freight actually needs.
- Professional handling — trained staff and organized processes that keep product intact and findable.
- Streamlined logistics — the warehouse, the trucks, and the compliance run by one operator with one point of contact, so there’s no handoff gap between storing your freight and moving it.
That’s the difference between renting square footage and having a logistics partner who happens to have the square footage. Tell us what you need to store and where it’s going next, and we’ll build the plan around the freight.

FAQ
Warehousing questions, answered
How much space do I have to commit to?
You scale the space you use up and down as demand moves — you’re not locked into a fixed footprint you’ve outgrown or under-filled. Tell us your real volume and how it fluctuates, and we’ll structure storage that flexes with your business instead of forcing your business to fit the building.
Is the warehouse climate-controlled?
Yes. The full 80,000 sq ft facility is climate-controlled, which matters for temperature- and humidity-sensitive product like pharmaceuticals, electronics, and certain foods and beverages. It also stays secure around the clock with 24-hour monitoring and controlled access.
Can you handle a container straight from the port?
Yes — the warehouse doubles as a transload floor behind our own drayage. We pull the container off the port, bring it to the facility, unstuff it, and reload the freight onto domestic trailers — consolidated, cross-docked, or staged. Doing it under one roof frees the steamship line’s container fast and keeps the freight moving without accruing per-diem.
Where exactly is the warehouse?
We’re in the Fulton Industrial corridor on Atlanta’s west side — 6125 Fulton Industrial Blvd SW — minutes from I-285 and the interstate network, and close to Hartsfield-Jackson, one of the country’s busiest cargo airports. That puts your product near the truck lanes, rail ramps, and air lift that move it.
