Specialized services
The loads most brokers turn away.
Hazmat, dry ice, container transloading, cross-docking, packaging engineering, air freight, and 80,000 sq ft of climate-controlled warehousing. When the freight is complicated, regulated, or out of the ordinary, RS Group is the operator that owns it end to end — and tells you the truth about what it takes.

Why specialized freight is its own discipline
Standard freight is about finding the right truck at the right price. Specialized freight is about everything that happens before and after the truck — the chemistry of keeping a load at −78.5 °C, the DOT paperwork that lets a battery shipment cross a state line, the engineering that keeps a fragile product intact through five dock transfers, the timing that gets an ocean container off the port before per-diem charges start. Get any of those wrong and the freight is fined, rejected, spoiled, or destroyed.
That’s why most freight brokers quietly decline it. A portal that only matches a lane to a rate has no way to handle a hazmat class, a cold chain, or a packaging failure. The moment a load needs more than a truck, the quote disappears — and the shipper is left calling around. Specialized freight rewards an operator that runs the equipment, the warehouse, and the compliance under one roof, because the value is in the handling, not the haul.
RS Group built that operation deliberately. Our 80,000 sq ft Atlanta warehouse gives us the cross-dock and transload floor space; our registration as an indirect air carrier and our DOT-compliant hazmat handling give us the regulatory cover; our packaging consultants give us the engineering. So when your freight is the kind that scares off everyone else, it’s the kind we do best.
Why RS Group
An operator for the freight nobody else will own.
[ in-house · compliant · accountable ]The freight other brokers decline
A hazmat load, a refrigerated container off the port, a one-off dry-ice shipment, a packaging problem nobody else will own — these are exactly the moves a rate-shopping portal can’t price. We can, because we run the equipment, the warehouse, and the compliance ourselves.
Compliance is the hard part
Specialized freight is governed by rules — DOT hazmat classes, IAC screening, cold-chain handling, packaging performance standards. Getting them wrong is a fine, a rejected load, or a damaged shipment. We handle the documentation, placarding, and protocols so the freight moves legally the first time.
One operator, the whole chain
Transload a container, cross-dock it, store it in our warehouse, and truck it out — all coordinated by the same person who answers your call. No handoffs between vendors, no finger-pointing when something’s tight.
Got a load nobody else will quote?
Tell us what it is and where it’s going — a real person on our team figures out the handling, the compliance, and the price, and follows the freight to the dock.
